![]() ![]() Therefor we choose to go to mountain Profitis Ilias. We asked the owner, a nice guy whether he can recommend us any nice views in the areas of the beaten track. It seems worthwhile to take a look at, while the gate is open. The owner offer artists to show there alternative art free of charge and to live and work there at the season. There is supposed to be art there, apart from mainstream. There is an art park there which unfortunately is closed off season. From there we continued on the road to Archipoli ( at the end of this village near a forest). ![]() When you get back to the cafe/restaurant it is nicer to look at the ducks with their families. The walk to the spring is nice, about 5 minutes, we took the narrow one way tunnel to the lake which I found disappointing in terms of view. At Kolympia we took the rood to Epta Piges (springs) When you park at the main road dont miss to take a look from above at the river nearby, there are giant seawater turtles there. We tasted some very sweet silver packaged homemade chocolate slices). We stopped at at a cafe, (I think at narrow road from afantou) where a mother and daughter are selling their breads. There are many ceramic shops near the main road and I guess they are cheaper than the souvenir shops. The restaurants offers the usual touristic meals, instead we chose to eat yogurt with honey to enjoy the beautiful view. While snorkeling you can see many fishes (tiny neon swarms and different other species) Also the view from the bay to the mountains is nice and they are certainly worth a hike. From about the airport we crossed the county with the road to kalithea and first went to anthony quinns bay first, make sure its early in the morning to avoid crowds in this small narrow bay with turquise water. ![]()
